Pixxel Raises $100 Million to Scale AI-Powered Earth Intelligence, Sovereign Satellites and Orbital Data Infrastructure

Pixxel · 2026-09-08

Pixxel has raised $100 million in a Series C led by Temasek and Seraphim to expand its satellite, Earth-intelligence, sovereign-space and manufacturing platforms.

Why it matters: The round expands Pixxel beyond hyperspectral imaging into a broader stack spanning satellites, AI-driven Earth intelligence, sovereign systems, manufacturing and orbital computing.

Pixxel has closed a $100 million Series C funding round, giving the space-technology company fresh capital to expand from hyperspectral satellite imagery into a broader infrastructure platform spanning advanced sensing, artificial-intelligence-powered Earth observation, sovereign satellite systems and manufacturing.

The round was co-led by Temasek and Seraphim and brings Pixxel’s total capital raised to $195 million. The company plans to develop its next-generation Honeybee hyperspectral constellation, add new sensing capabilities and expand satellite manufacturing capacity in India and the United States.

Government and sovereign-space work is becoming another major part of the strategy. Pixxel says it holds contracts with NASA and the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office and is leading development of a planned Indian public-private Earth-observation constellation.

The roadmap also includes an orbital data-center demonstration satellite, placing Pixxel within a growing group examining whether some processing and AI workloads can move closer to sensors in orbit.
