Palo Alto Networks · 2026-09-03

Palo Alto Networks and NTT DATA have formed a strategic alliance targeting $1 billion in joint business by 2029.

Why it matters: The $1 billion target provides a concrete commercial benchmark for the emerging enterprise market around securing AI agents and AI-enabled operations.

Palo Alto Networks and NTT DATA have formed a global strategic alliance targeting $1 billion in joint business by 2029 as enterprises confront a new generation of security risks created by artificial intelligence. The agreement combines Palo Alto Networks' cybersecurity platforms and Unit 42 threat intelligence with NTT DATA's consulting, engineering and managed-services capabilities. The companies plan to focus on autonomous security operations, AI governance, identity protection, Zero Trust networking, cloud resilience and firewall modernization. Identity is becoming particularly important as autonomous AI agents receive credentials and permission to interact with enterprise applications, databases and infrastructure. More than 2,000 Palo Alto Networks-certified professionals and dedicated forward-deployed engineers are expected to support the program, while NTT DATA receives early access to new platform capabilities.
