YMTC Parent Targets $4.9 Billion IPO at Up to $49 Billion Valuation as AI Storage Demand Surges

Reuters · 2026-09-07

The parent of Yangtze Memory Technologies is pursuing a large Shanghai STAR Market IPO amid booming NAND economics.

Why it matters: The proposed IPO would provide a major capital-markets benchmark for China’s memory-chip industry during an AI-driven storage cycle.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange accepted the listing application for CCSH Corporation, parent of Yangtze Memory Technologies. The proposed offering could raise about 33 billion yuan and imply a valuation of roughly $41 billion to $49 billion. YMTC has reported a dramatic increase in revenue and profitability as high-capacity NAND demand tightens, supported in part by AI data-center storage requirements.
