Starcloud Raises $250 Million at $2.3 Billion Valuation as Nvidia Backs Orbital AI Data Centers
Starcloud raised $250 million at a $2.3 billion valuation, with Nvidia and Cisco Investments joining as new investors.
Why it matters: Orbital computing could become a new infrastructure category if launch, thermal and communications economics prove workable.
Starcloud announced a $250 million Series A extension at a $2.3 billion post-money valuation. The company is developing spacecraft designed to operate high-performance AI hardware in orbit and says it is collaborating with Nvidia on a space-oriented Vera Rubin module. Starcloud’s long-term targets include a very large satellite constellation and substantial orbital compute capacity, though those figures remain development goals rather than deployed infrastructure.
