Uber Invests in Zipline as Uber Eats Targets 1 Million Drone Deliveries a Day

Uber is expanding its autonomous-delivery strategy through a partnership and strategic investment in Zipline. The companies plan to begin Uber Eats drone deliveries in the United States and target one million drone deliveries per day by the end of 2029. Zipline has already completed roughly two million deliveries across multiple continents. The agreement extends Uber’s platform strategy across human couriers, autonomous vehicles and now drones.
