Pentagon Push Drives Smack Technologies’ $61 Million Round for Battlefield AI and Wearable Hardware
Smack Technologies raised $61 million to accelerate battlefield AI systems and a wearable display as Pentagon buyers seek a broader military-AI supplier base.
Why it matters: Defense AI procurement is shifting toward specialized suppliers that can deploy decision software and hardware directly in operational environments.
Smack Technologies has raised $61 million in Series B financing to expand production of its Omega battlefield decision system and develop Alpha, a wearable AI display. The company says Omega combines reinforcement learning and real-time computer vision to generate targeting and fires-planning options and rapidly rebuild disrupted battle plans. The financing illustrates how Pentagon procurement pressure is creating opportunities for specialized defense-AI suppliers that can deploy software and hardware at the tactical edge.
