Supermicro Profit Surges as AI Server Orders Top $60 Billion
Super Micro Computer reported sharply higher profit, nearly doubled revenue to $11.12 billion, and disclosed more than $60 billion in new orders as AI server demand accelerated.
Why it matters: Supermicro’s $60 billion-plus order intake is a direct demand signal for the physical infrastructure layer beneath the AI boom.
Super Micro Computer reported a sharp increase in quarterly profit as demand for artificial-intelligence servers and data-center infrastructure continued to accelerate. The company generated approximately $11.12 billion in fiscal fourth-quarter revenue, nearly double the $5.76 billion reported a year earlier. Net income climbed to about $1.17 billion from $195 million, while adjusted earnings substantially exceeded Wall Street expectations. The strongest signal, however, may be Supermicro’s order book. The company received more than $60 billion in new orders during the quarter and entered fiscal 2027 with record backlog. It expects fiscal-2027 revenue between $65 billion and $72 billion, considerably above analysts’ previous expectations. Supermicro has become an important indicator for the physical side of the AI boom because its systems integrate processors, networking, storage, liquid cooling and rack-scale infrastructure used in increasingly dense AI data centers.
