Enterprise AI Spending Shifts From Models to Integration, Lifting SAP, Capgemini and OVHcloud

Enterprise AI spending is beginning to shift from access to large language models toward the harder task of making those models work inside complex organizations. Reuters reports that established European technology companies including SAP, Capgemini, Sopra Steria and OVHcloud are seeing stronger demand as customers move from experiments into production deployment.
The bottleneck is increasingly integration. AI systems must connect securely to applications built over decades, fragmented databases, identity and permission systems, audit requirements and operational processes. SAP reported a 26% increase in cloud backlog at constant currencies, while Capgemini and Sopra Steria raised growth expectations as customers invested in modernization and implementation work.
A second tailwind is demand for greater control over data and infrastructure. OVHcloud reported 20.2% public-cloud revenue growth in its third quarter, while Airbus is moving sensitive workloads toward European-controlled infrastructure. The emerging pattern suggests a larger share of enterprise AI value may accrue to software, consulting and infrastructure providers that can make models usable, governable and secure inside real organizations.
