CoreWeave Plans Three Indonesian AI Data Centers With 360 Megawatts of Power

The facilities will provide a combined 360 megawatts of contracted power. CoreWeave said it will own and operate all three locations and establish a local team to manage the new infrastructure.
The expansion reflects growing demand for AI computing capacity located closer to regional customers and their data.
Enterprises and governments increasingly require local infrastructure to reduce latency, comply with data-residency rules and avoid transferring sensitive information across jurisdictions.
Indonesia offers CoreWeave access to one of Southeast Asia’s largest digital economies while supporting the country’s efforts to develop domestic AI capability.
The company operated 49 data centers worldwide as of March, primarily across the United States and Europe.
CoreWeave has raised the lower end of its annual capital-spending outlook and now expects to invest between $31 billion and $35 billion during 2026. Management attributed part of that increase to higher component costs and shortages affecting memory chips.
The company has also signed several large cloud agreements, including an expanded $21 billion contract with Meta and a multi-year arrangement with Anthropic.
CoreWeave specializes in infrastructure optimized for AI training and inference rather than general-purpose cloud workloads. Its platform relies heavily on advanced Nvidia accelerators, high-performance networking and dense data-center power systems.
Moving into Indonesia broadens its geographic reach but also increases execution demands.
The company will have to manage construction, local recruitment, power procurement and regulatory requirements while sustaining a capital-intensive global expansion.
The project shows that competition in specialized AI cloud infrastructure is extending rapidly beyond North America and Europe into high-growth Asian markets.
