Cyera Moves to Acquire Oasis Security in Reported $1 Billion AI-Identity Deal

Data-security company Cyera is moving to acquire Oasis Security in a deal designed to help enterprises govern the credentials and data access used by artificial-intelligence agents.

Oasis specializes in non-human identities, including service accounts, access keys, automated software and AI agents. Cyera focuses on identifying and protecting sensitive enterprise data.

Combining the platforms would connect two controls that enterprises often manage separately: what an automated system is authorized to access and how sensitive the underlying data is.

That distinction matters as companies move AI agents from experiments into production. An agent may have valid credentials and still create risk by retrieving too much information, acting outside its intended task or using applications in unexpected ways.

The deal shows cybersecurity consolidation accelerating around AI-agent governance, machine identities and data-security posture management.
