OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Program for Small Businesses
OpenAI has launched a small-business program combining virtual training, in-person AI academies, practical guides and partner integrations intended to help lean teams adopt ChatGPT Work and GPT-5.6.
Why it matters: Small businesses have fewer specialist resources and may therefore see faster value from AI that crosses marketing, operations, finance and technical work.
OpenAI has announced a ChatGPT for small businesses program focused on practical adoption rather than model access alone.
The initiative includes virtual product training, in-person small-business AI academies, workflow guides and a partner ecosystem involving companies such as Dropbox, Shopify, Intuit, Slack, Atlassian and Wix.
OpenAI says its prior Small Business AI Jams produced measurable outcomes: 78% of participants built a functional AI workflow in one day and 42% reported saving more than five hours each week.
The company is positioning ChatGPT Work and GPT-5.6 as generalist capacity for teams where an owner or small staff must cover several business functions. That makes small businesses an important distribution market for agents, plugins and connected software workflows.
